Before I pull the tank out...
Is there any other reason my 89 injection scala would be spluttering and loosing power while the fuel pump/strainer is making funny noises?
Its almost like there is air going through..
I replaced the pump and filter once and it ran great for a week then the same problem came back. I have looked in ...

Re: Brake pipe and a 22mm Master cylinder...
No its not much bigger, the way the pipes and valves are mounted are different...
On my Scala the valves are pointing downwards underneath the master cylinder, but on the 22mm one the ports come out diagonally upwards so it would take some bending and maybe lengthening of the original brake lines ...

Brake pipe and a 22mm Master cylinder...
Evenin'!
To anyone who has ever upgraded to a 22mm master cylinder with the pipes and proportioning valves leaving the MC in a kind of 'V' shape, did you have to extend/fit longer brake pipe or is there enough to bend into position?
cheers!

Re: Quick braided brake hose Q
I was thinking that myself...
Do you know what the quality is like? I've heard it's not worth getting anything less than proper stainless ones as the others corrode pretty quickly

Selecting reverse blows fuse, then engine wont re-start
Bit of an odd one this and I only just kept my eyes open using the search function to find no other similar problem.
Any time I select reverse it blows number 15 (reverse light switch) then if i switch off the engine say to park up, it wont re-start unless the fuse is replaced....How weird!
Anyway ...

Success!
The pins were a right pain in the backside but flipping the hinges round did the trick and it fits really well now.

Re: 16v KR on 8v box??
Ratio wise I'm going for what is already in mine which is an ACD code, I have an 89 scala so easy ones to get and very similar to the mk2 g**f 16v box but with a taller 5th for better motorway cruising.

Re: fitting doors
cheers, yeah I wasn't bowled over by the haynes this afternoon when I read that either!
Gone with trying to turn the hinge round as its offset like Nate said, got one done but had to give up as the door is in the conservatory and it makes a right racket trying to get them to budge!

Re: fitting doors
Don't know what you mean there? The only place to put washers is between the bracket on the body and the hinge flange, the hinge sits forward of the bracket so like I said the door would move further forward and closer to the wing. Unless you mean somewhere else I'm missing?
