Is there any other reason my 89 injection scala would be spluttering and loosing power while the fuel pump/strainer is making funny noises?
Its almost like there is air going through..
I replaced the pump and filter once and it ran great for a week then the same problem came back. I have looked in the tank and to be honest it is a bit like someone's shook a pepper mill a couple of times in there but there's not loads.
I put more fuel in to see if it was sucking rust off the bottom of the tank but that didn't make a difference.
My next step would be replace the filler neck and clean out the tank but want to make sure first there isnt any silly issues I might have missed before I go through all that.
Cheers in advance
Chris

Re: Before I pull the tank out...
Could be the lift pump in the tank.
The main pump isn't designed to suck fuel out of the tank and struggles if the lift pump isn't working.
