Valve timing.. a bit stuck!

Hi, I got into a bit of a pickle today while changing the belt on my gtx. Can anyone explain to me what timing marks I need to go off on the top and bottom pulleys please.

Never have any problem with bikes, and never get it right with cars!!

Thanks

Re: Big Wheels?

When you say "mud shields" do you mean the plastic inner arch bit?

GTX Fuel economy?

Getting back into this scirocco lark now, really enjoying mine :) But whats everyone getting for fuel economy? And I mean calculated not what the mfa tells us! Mine seems to be drinking it, but it could be due to my heavy boot and the need for a service.

Whats everyone else getting?

Cheers

Re: Running 15's and coilies.. some problems

Odd, well I have managed to get the wheels on without spacers now but there is about 3mm gap between the tyre and spring adjuster.

Handles better and the wheels aint hitting the arches now :)

Running 15's and coilies.. some problems

Hi, finally got the gtx on the road after a long and painful mot! Great to be using it, but having a few issues: I have 'borrowed' the wheels off the polo until I get my borbet situation sorted, they are 15" OZ superleggas but I have had to space the front out as they were hitting the spring on...

Re: Anyone running 9X16" Borbet A's on a mk2?

I've spaced the fronts out, now they fit but stick out way too far (tread is a good 1" outside of the arch area)

I need to find some 7's.....

Anyone running 9X16" Borbet A's on a mk2?

Argh, just gone to fit the coilovers and wheels to my gtx, the rear went in fine, wheels looking good but the front is a different story! The wheel was hitting the caliper, so I spaced the wheel out but now its sitting too far out. Looks odd and handles even worse! I was hoping a 9X16 would go on bu...

Re: towbars?

I'd be interested, I could have a courier come get it if you could wrap it up somehow?

Thanks
