Spotted 2 mk2's in my hometown of Hereford today! A black early mk2 but with round headlights and odd wheels and a red scala (going past B&Q if your on here?).
Makes a change, only spotted one other round the ford before!

Re: Rocco GT rat project
After rewiring my stereo from scratch (previous owner had chopped and wired it in the most weird way and didnt work), i decided some ebay bargain 6x9's needed to fill the holes in the shelf. Also for the cheese factor a naked lady/trucker dash decoration was mounted inbetween them. Hope no one takes ...

Re: Anybody have a photograph of a MK2 with a 16v engine fitted?
You did this swap in a 1.6 gt? I always thought converting to a injection was a massive pain in the rear. I have no real mechanical experience but am learning as i go along, how hard is the conversion for a relative amateur? A step by step guide may be useful for a lot of peeps  haha ...

Re: 1.8 or 1.6?
I have a 1.6GT, they run 75bhp (when new!) so they arent the quickest of engines. Ive still got a pierburg carb on mine and its done 160k miles, still running sweet as.
I am planning a engine swap, but unless your going to be using her for motorways, the 1.6 isnt a bad engine at all in my book.
