Its the MK3 golf abf type cap, the standard kr one hits the brake fluid reservoir! Using this one gives you just enough clearence :vcool:

Is that using the normal Scirocco fuel pumps as well..Or did you have to use a 16v one? If theres a difference..I'm not sure.

Nah, no difference at all! Tho you will have to re-route them over to the opposite side of the engine bay - i found making up new lines alot easier!

If yours is already injected the swap is fairly straight forward, you'lll be keeping the majority of the 8v running gear/wiring but will need the 16v ecu/tci plus wiring loom for them

Unfortunately..My Scirocco is a 1.6 GT at the minute, with a nasty Pierburg on it. I've got an 8v loom and K-Jet system left over from my Scala so I have a few bits to play with.

You should pretty much have everything you'll need then :good:

May be worth speaking to 'Rusty dan' on here as he has done the conversion from a carb to 16v

The conversion won't be much of an issue, I've done quite a few engine swaps in various cars already. I just like to have a picture of what the end result should look like...It helps to high light obvious issues I may have over looked..Such as the dizzy cap thing.

Seeing as the car is my reliable daily that I need to use pretty much everyday..I want to at least pretend I'm prepared :mafia:

Ah! They've fit the fluid reservoir on in the opposite direction, so its on backwards to get the clearance

Never thought of that one :dash:

Where abouts in the metering head do you stick the washer? I'm confused :?
