Re: Maikki's -92 GTII

Yesterday I took rocco to MOT and no fails

Still having proplems with K-Jet. ISV is still stucking time to time. I cleaned it with CRC Brakleen. Also changed all rubber hoses to vacuum systems. When K-Jet is working properly PPO-values were at idle 12ppm and 2000rpm 14ppm :yahoo:

Fuel ...

Maikki's -92 GTII

February -10 I found this nice GTII from ffp.fi sales section. Re: lower suspension Q

I've had Raceland coilovers 2years/over 10kmiles in my rocco and no problems. My friend has in his MK1 GTI Formel-K coilover. 4 years and over 20 000 kilometres and no problems.

With cheap coilovers it seems to depend from your luck if they are ok or not. I used to work reseller for TA-Technix ...

Re: lower suspension Q

JOMs have a good rep :good:

well...here JOm and FK has terrible reputation: Harsh and shocks fail when it gets under 0 degrees

I'd buy Raceland / TA-Technix / Formel-K coilovers for around 200€ from ebay. I've had Racelands in my rocco 2 years and no problems. Ride is fine with ~40mm drop. Lower ...

Re: Rubber floor mats

Use only water based trim detailer for rubber mats so they don't get slippery.

Water based stuff for example are Meguiars Hyper Dressing and ValetPro Protectant. Both can be diluted to water: 1:1 for high gloss and 1:3 satin finish.

160 or 170hp 1.4TSI with DSG :groove:

I was playing with idea putting 160hp TSI + 6-speed gearbox into my rocco ( engine, gearbox, ecu and other goodies from wrecked rocco only driven 16 000 km for 2700€) but big problem is to find somebody who could delete everything else but engine management ...

Re: Marangoni tyres

I had 195/50-15H Marangoni Zeta Linea:s in my rocco for one summer. They were Ok considering that they are cheap tyres.

- Good traction wet and dry
- ok to drive
- Not too noisy
- wear was not so good

Re: Compressor

Hey Maikki, you work in a bodyshop? I'd like to have a play with dry flatting of orange peel as I am pretty old school and flat it wet to eliminate any risk of clogging the abrasive.

Steve: The 3m 4277 mask is very good as a disposable. Maikki is right, wet the floor in the garage before you paint ...

Re: Compressor

You have 3 big problems when spraying in garage:

- Dust. Clean garage extremely well, use plastic to cover places and spray water before painting to get dust away from air.

- Temperature. water based paints and 2k laquer works best when temperature is around 20-22 celcius when spraying. You can ...

Re: headlamp high low beam at the same time?

You forgot to tell most important thing that you have HID-kit installed. I supposed that you meant how to get low and high beam work at the same with H4 halogen bulbs and that will fry wiring and reflectors.

I have Ollo H4 Bi-xenons which have moving lamp in my rocco. Low beam is fine but high beam ...

Re: headlamp high low beam at the same time?

You don't want to do that because you'll break your lightswitch, melt wiring and reflectors from your lights.

If you want more light first things to do is relays, fatter wiring and osram nightbreakers/bosch +90%/philips xtreme vision bulbs.
