Cheers guys, after cross refrencing sugestions its the short link rod I need.
My local Europarts just down the road are getting one in tomorow for me.
Hopefully have no more loss of gears

Morning people, My gears went all floppy on me last week for the first time on the motorway so I pulled over and noticed the small cup and ball joint in the engine bay had popped off. Put it back on and set off all good. Driving to cardiff on saturday it happened twice untill i fixed it in place ...

Thanks for the replys.
After having a look in daylight, It does look as tho the hole in the
bulkhead is rusty and torn. Hopefully this job just got a whole lot

Hey all, my fan has come loose from its motor and shakes like hell when it turns on
Tried doing a search for a new fan but cant find anything. Does anyone know where they are available, and if they are the same part as on a mk 2 golf

Yeah it was the hooks and the bits that slot into them,
I almost considerd cutting them off it drove me so mad :dash:
Still, I now know how to do it properly thanks to kind strangers
helping each other. :yahoo:

that would be cool if you dont mind. Ive been battling with it for the last hour My haynes manual just says "refitting is the reverse of removal" lots of help Im actually in liphook now, just down from haslemere, I should update that. do you want to give me a ring on 07775835165 cheers stu :good:

speedo unit help

Ive taken my dash unit out to replace the broken speedo cable
but it dosent want to go back in when i have reconected everything.
Has anyone got any tips on getting it back in or know of a pannel i can remove
so i can plug it all in after sliding it back?
