Any ratty Roccos?
Just wondering if anyone has got any photos of a Rat styled scirocco.
Was curious of how it would work?

There's the split personality one that has done the shows, kind of before and after:

I really really really like this one...
All possible because of these PHATTIES....
You NEED bad ass wheels to pull of the rat look, otherwise it looks pants.

The H reg one was at Inters last year, it seemed a shame to trash a what looked like a mint car, but that's just my opinion.

It works like this:brewstu wrote:Was curious of how it would work?
Take a decent Scirocco. Make it look like a really rough Scirocco. Wonder why no-one wants to pay anything like normal money for it when you decide to sell it a few months later. (that seems to be how it has worked every time I've seen it done so far).

Everyone's right to do as they wish with their car but it does grind my gears (as Peter Griffin would say) when somebody essentially ruins a Rocco and takes another decent one out of circulation, so to speak.
Now on the other hand, if it's wrecked anyway, then go for it.
Re: Any ratty Roccos?
quite like the khaki green one tbh but generally never liked the rat look on any watercooled vw. all a bit 'forced/too cool for school' for my liking..........
appreciate the thought and effort the 'two-halves' car must have required but echo comments from ian and others.

Re: Any ratty Roccos?
Equally I never quite saw the point of the rat look.
It's easy to achieve though... buy a crap car... do nothing to it and wait for it to fall to bits. And if I remember rightly most of us cool kids that grew up in the 80's with tight budgets probably easily qualified for the rat look without trying. Most of my mini's were powered by real rats (least it felt that way at times) and my Fiat 126, I am convinced was an actual rat!! It was small, scuttled everywhere and left brown droppings randomly out of it's back end, it even had a tail one day after it dragged it's exhaust 3/4 mile down the A1(m) before I could get to a junction to get off... can't get much more scene than that
