GT2 mpg?

hello, I have just brought a scirocco gt2 and was wondering what other people get MPG wise? I have to do a 40mile trip to work each day and will be hoping i will see atleast 30mpg?

There is something wrong if you don't get 30mpg, depends on the roads and your style of driving but these cars are pretty economical.
Where you at North Weald last week as I was talking to a bloke called Lance?

According to an old brochure the 1.8 carb gives
urban 29.4
56mph 47.9
75mph 35.8

What sort of mpg are people getting with weber carbs on though?
I am puting a dx cam in with 4.2.1 mani and jetex exhaust and a webber.. would i still see 30mpg if driven normaly.

Properly set-up, the Weber shouldn't make a significant difference to your fuel consumption.

Might actually improve MPG with a webber, only thing is with it being a lot nippier tend to get a heavier right foot :vcool:

My old gt2 was really good on petrol, probably as good as the injected ones ive had. Though it had a nice induction rasp and was fairly lively so waas rarely driven economicaly

On a long drive up to scotland I worked out I was getting arround 40/45 mpg just crusing on the motorway.
