Re: Trying to find my old MK2

Sorry for the late reply.
Yes, I did receive your message so thank you for that.
Not quite sure how to go about contacting the owner as the location couldn't be much further from me
I think I'll just have to keep an eye out to see if he sells it.
But many thanks again for your help
Cheers
Paul

Re: Trying to find my old MK2

Hi friend
Many thanks for letting me know about this, and I would like to take you up on the offer, so if you just want to PM me we can go from there.
I had that car as 2nd owner and had it for about 10 years so if its just sitting on the road not being used much, I'd really like to buy it back and ...

Trying to find my old MK2

I've not been on here for many years now as I sold my GTX about 8-10 years ago.
I have just done a search on the reg plate and it seems that she's still being used, or at least MOT'D and taxed.
I'm really wanting to know if she might be available for sale, and if anyone may know who owns her.
The ...

Just a heads up to anyone looking at this car

Hi

I've not been on here for a while, basically because I sold my Rocco last year.

But I thought I'd just make anyone looking at this listing on Ebay, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Scirocco-GTX-Jade-Green-85K-on-Clock-1988-E-reg-C-L-Immobiliser-/252004790915? Aware of the true details.

I owned ...

Re: Non Roc Question, good mobile mechanic needed, N.E. Surrey

Thanks for the reply, thing is, I had it parked up for a few months and I've done everything I can do to try to solve it, New Battery, Plugs, Rotor Arm, New Fuel Filter and even a New Fuel Pump, but it's just not turning over fast enough to get the Juice Flowing as it were, as I'm not getting any at ...

Non Roc Question, good mobile mechanic needed, N.E. Surrey

Hi Everyone

Sorry to post this here, but I'm just about a the end of my rope with people saying they will help and then letting me down.

I have a VW T25 that has a starting problem, I know it's going to be a pretty simple job, Starter Motor/ Gearbox Earth Strap ?, I just can't do it myself as I ...

Steering rack Problem, I think

Hi everyone

I have had my GTX sitting for a long time, after it was trashed in a car park shunt, my car was parked by the way, anyway, it now appears to have lost it's steering.
I have had to move it a couple of times by pushing it rather than engine power, but now when I try to steer it, the ...

Re: Factory Sunroof Question

Hi Ed
Tilt/slide metal roof ??, did they ever do one on a MK2 Polo ?, no it's the pop up jobbie, although it'd probably be easier, ( and Cheaper ) to get a plate welded in the roof, but it's good in the summer when you need the airflow in the car.
I'll give those magazines a try and see what I can ...

Factory Sunroof Question

Hi Everyone

It's not technically a Scirocco question, as it's about my Polo, but it has a Factory fitted sunroof that has been silicone sealed shut, by the previous owner, presumably to stop a leak.
What I wanted to know, is there somewhere I can get it refitted ?, re sealed, or what ever it takes ...

Re: Ugly yellow 'go faster' stripe

Hi
Not sure wether you've done it yet, But as regards the Rubber Strip/ Trim, having done this on a Scala before,

Take one reasonably hot day, one Good powerful hairdrier, ( Not Heat gun, for obvious reasons ) some T Cut, one softish plastic scraper, and a very large dash of Elbow Grease.
Basically ...

Re: The mk2 model range??????

Surely the most important thing to know about Scirocco's is what you've already stated "I know sweet bugger all about these little cars apart from the fact
that mine makes me smile whenever I get behind the wheel !" Classic comment

Anyways, i've got an '88 GTX and YESSS they are fun ...

Yeah they did, I had one, .............. Then all you needed after that was a white suit with the sleeves rolled up, and a Blonde Highlighted Mullet and Away you go, for that Total Crockett & Tubbs Hairdresser Look.. :shocking:

Re: Crankcase breather?

Hi
I'm not sure wether Jake mentioned it, because he probably called it by it's correct name, and I wouldn't know that sort of thing, but at the risk of repeating what he said, I had a "Hairdresser" white carbed Scala about 12 years ago, that I bought really cheap because it sounded like it was ...

Re: part number for the rubber rocker casket from gfs or euro

Hi

I was just wondering if somebody knew the best way to get the old Studs out of the head, as I've attempted 2 of these before, the first one, the studs almost Fell out, and the second one I gave up on, not wanting to shear off any in the head, so I just wondered if there was a " Tried and Trusted ...
