Rear lamps

Post by kevtherev »

were there any differences with this light box across the range?

I have an odd set, in that, one cluster has black lines on the lenses and one doesn't
was this painted on after market?

can you get the boxes anywhere new?

Hi
As the Man said, ianaudia4, ( Top Man ), i'd be most interested in the striped one, as going for a totally original look for the old girl, and as she came with stripey ones, i'd like to keep it that way.
Let me Know if of interest, i'll probably take the other one as well just for a spare.

Regards
Paul

I have 2 pairs of the normal ones that came off a Storm.

yep the gtx cars and late scalas/gt11's came with them as standard.

reason for odd sets is i think down to the price of the striped ones compared to the un striped one, when eurocarparts listed them the stripes were £70 each and the unstriped were just £40 or so.
normal non enthusiast owner is unlikely to have been bothered about the difference when he/she was looking for a replacement.

I think the early white Scala's had white striped lights also.

Yeah they did, I had one, .............. Then all you needed after that was a white suit with the sleeves rolled up, and a Blonde Highlighted Mullet and Away you go, for that Total Crockett & Tubbs Hairdresser Look.. :shocking:

God, the amount of times I got pulled because of those lights.

...If they are in good nick, and that's an offer I'll take you up on it

with the one I have someone has tried to rub off the black and it's a bit of a mess to be honest.
If I can't get the black striped new or good used ... then normal will do me.
