Hi Everyone
Sorry to post this here, but I'm just about a the end of my rope with people saying they will help and then letting me down.
I have a VW T25 that has a starting problem, I know it's going to be a pretty simple job, Starter Motor/ Gearbox Earth Strap ?, I just can't do it myself as I have recently had heart surgery, and suffer with acute Emphysema, so crawling about under vans is a bit of a No, No, at this point in time.
I live in Warlingham, near junction 6 of the M25, and need someone who is reliable and knows what they're doing, I've tried on some of the T25 forums but the recommendations are usually 30 - 40 miles away and want the van at their place.
I'm happy to pay the going rate to the right person, and even have some Scirocco parts that I'd be willing to throw in.
Any recommendations will be Very Gratefully received
Also, I am selling my '87 Spec Rocco GTX soon, Needs work, but good Original car, so keep an eye on the for sale section if interested.
Many Thanks for listening
Paul

Afraid I can't help, but you're right about it being a simple job - I replaced the starter motor on my T25 and it was no trouble. Access is easy, if you've got standard rode height a jack isn't even necessary. Club80-90 was always a friendly forum, I'm surprised no-one has volunteered to help.

Thanks for the reply, thing is, I had it parked up for a few months and I've done everything I can do to try to solve it, New Battery, Plugs, Rotor Arm, New Fuel Filter and even a New Fuel Pump, but it's just not turning over fast enough to get the Juice Flowing as it were, as I'm not getting any at the carb, but I know it's not blocked 'cause I've had a mouthful of Un Led,
It has Good Spark and I know it wants to run because I had it fired up on Easy Start..............The general consensus seems to be that it's either the earth strap on the gearbox, or the Starter Motor Bush in the Gearbox that's worn and somehow stopping it turning over fast enough, ( I'm not good with Electrics on Motors ), So have duly bought a new bush, but I just need someone to fit it for me along with a new Earth Strap, if it needs one.
But I've been blown out by about 3 Mechanics now, one being a bloke I've used for over 15 years, and I just don't have the strength to do the job myself anymore, even though I've done loads of Starters in the past, and normally it would have been done by now.
Anyway, thanks again, hopefully someone will know someone fairly local who wants the work and the bunce.
Cheers
Paul
