Re: Help me decide what to do
I have golf G60 disks, carriers and callipers to fit, the insurance company said they won't insure me without fitting them and it was pretty hard finding someone to insure it,with all mods declared and in my 40's, had to do the 3 thou miles a year thing and got it for £256 a year. And wish that was ...

Re: Help me decide what to do
Well I have a vaux Vivaro for work and I'm 45 now,an old git,but it's definitely worth considering.Could get one of those A frame things for towing I guess. I got involved in other projects and put a little 5k rig together to put on free parties,so that sort of took all my spare money, but that is ll ...

Help me decide what to do
Really don't know what to do about my Scirocco ? It's been sitting on my driveway, looking neglected and unloved since Feb 2012,took it off the road, not because it was broken, but at the time I just couldn't justify, taxing and insuring 2 vehicles,as fundamentally, it's just a toy, although I did ...

Help no spark ?
Right not been on here for some time,my roc sort of took a back seat whilst I built up a big rig,6k now and my neighbors hate me  . Tax ran out on the roc in Sept last year,so it's just been sat there until now.don't really use it during the winter,as don't want to stack it. Decided I would ...

Bleed nipples,which ones ?
Just bought myself a set of G60 callipers and disks ,was due to be fitting them over the weekend. On Friday night I decided to check that both bleed nipples were free, before getting all the w3ay over to my mates and finding out that they were seized in place.. One came out fine, the other one ...

Re: were 2 find quickshift for mk2 scirocco
Same as the one I got for mine, you need to keep an eye on the allen head bolt on the bottom of the relay shaft,as it can work itself loose over time, the standard one has a nut on the end

Re: Shouldered bolt, through bottom of gear stick
All sorted now,cheers Pete !!
Do think the cir clip supplied in the kit,is slightly too big,as it's come out the groove a couple of times,so will have to see if I can locate the old one from the darkest recesses of my tool box

Re: Shouldered bolt, through bottom of gear stick
All done, found daylight and a hammer helped that and copious amounts of grease. No longer have a wobbly gear stick and all gears engage. I followed the guide on the mk1 golf owners club, which said 19mm clearance between the shift finger and the metal plate, but in the Haynes book of lies it says ...

Shouldered bolt, through bottom of gear stick
Suffering real bad from sloppy gears, seem to have more travel front to back, than left to right, probs getting 1st to engage too. Bought the bushes and everything to tighten it all up again, which turned up today, started stripping it down from the gear stick end first, then got to the relay shaft, and ...

Re: Spotted
Spotted 2 in Cambridge today, typically I was in my van and not my roc, which always seems to be the case. One on Newma\rket road, turning right into either Tesco,or Cheddars lane around 1pm ish.Possibly gt2 dark blue or black, was behind me so couldn't really see it. 2nd spotted on Gilbert road, turning ...

Really like the look of round lamps, who has done this, and what lamps did you use ?
Is it just a case of bolting the housings in place, and connecting them up ?

Re: Lightened flywheel for a 9A
So am I right in assuming that the G60 flywheel is lighter than the standard 9A flywheel ? So in essence I won't need to get it lightened ? Just balanced with crank and clutch.
Cheers for the heads up
