I used a 10mm central heating pipe clip from B+Q. Maybe should have mentioned earlier?

The pole on the parcel shelf is 8.5mm incase anyone was desperate to know. So 10mm is just the right size

Did they work Nate? Did you need to increase the size of the hole?

if you look at my link you can order a clip in various different sizes and they do one that is 9mm and presses into a 6mm hole so will most likely fit straight into the existing hole without the need to drill the existing hole out.
