Re: SCALA INJECTION WILL NOT START WITHOUT HELP!!
Just a quick update on the tricky starting- iI have carried out the injector test and found no 3&4 leaking very slightly, litteraly just dripping one or two drops every ten mins or so. I have changed these for some second hand ones. On starting the car today exactly the same problem! :ire:

Re: Clutch VERY heavy, and new cable feels wrong!
Hi. it was the same cable the car has had four five years and it has been ok, but think it may have stretched due to the old heavy clutch. I changed it today for a euro parts one which i have to say seems very good quality and a very good fit for £23! the result was instant improvement although ...

Re: Clutch VERY heavy, and new cable feels wrong!
Hi Andy. i was reading your thread on the heavy clutch, im having the same problem with mine at the mo! Changed the clutch the other day and since then it has to be adjusted all the way to get gears which isn't great as the pivot arm is now really tight and is putting pressure on the cluch and isn't ...

Re: SCALA INJECTION WILL NOT START WITHOUT HELP!!
Thanks again Ben for getting back. I purchased a haynes manual the other day so will look into the testing part of the cold start system. I did test the WUR recently and cleaned it it was giving a 23 ohms reading which seems to be within spec. I presume the tts is working as the fith injector is ...

Re: SCALA INJECTION WILL NOT START WITHOUT HELP!!
Cheers for the reply ben. I must say I've never noticed any pressure build up when taking the fuel cap off. I've had a modified BMW filler neck fitted to, but the fault occurred before this. Is the gravity value part of the main pump? If so do you know if they can be replaced without changing the ...

Re: SCALA INJECTION WILL NOT START WITHOUT HELP!!
I'll give that a go Pete, thanks again. I'm thinking the best place for injectors is gsf or euro, unless anyone knows me a cheaper place? I'll update any progress on here.

Re: SCALA INJECTION WILL NOT START WITHOUT HELP!!
Hi pete thanks for getting back to me. I have checked the vacume pipes and have sprayed carb cleaner over the manifold arae to check for air leaks it all seems fine to be honest. Im also thinking like youself that it may be a fuel pressure issue but i don't have any testing equipment which is very ...

SCALA INJECTION WILL NOT START WITHOUT HELP!!
Hello all. Im getting desperate to sort out the starting on my 89 scala injection! It will not start first thing no matter what the outside temperature. It will turn over fine and eventually fire after about ten or fifteen secs then run about 500 rpm and a little rough for about 30 secs then settle ...

Re: Ignition Timing on a DX engine
Just a thought guys but i used a large bolt that fitted head first into the green plastic plug and filled the end off the bolt so there where two flat sides i could fit a spanner or mole grips onto. Hope this helps

Re: RED DEAD Revolver-On going daily 89 Mk2 GT
Hi mate. thats an awsome thread you've got there, love the car. I've done a similar resto to yourself although not in quite the same detail as yet! I had a particulary bad rust issue on mine, the rear valance was in the same state as yours. All the welding and underbody work has been done by Mark H ...
