Thanks everyone gonna do elimination tests u all suggested as there isnt any whining noise normally indicating a bearing apart from a clicking noise on steering locks at slow speeds.

With front wheels of the ground tnight re-checking everything tight with the wilwood calipers and 280 discs for £50 that i jus fitted on my own... ( smug ) noticed passenger side wheel moves , i had 1 hand on the top an 1 on the bottom and theres a rocking movement. checked the same on drivers side ...

need some 280 discs for my mk2 scirocco as i have jus got a used wilwood front setup from a mk2 golf . had new brackets made up for the calipers to fit on hubs, im guessin the discs i got with it aint gonna fit so been lookin for grooved or drilled discs for mk1 golf , all i can find are 239mm ones ...

if fitting a lower strut brace is the anti-roll bar then not needed really as the brace takes over in effect. True or not so ?

I don't run a Wur on mine at the moment. Got to be honest it starts first time every time regardless of the weather. Takes a few minutes to get running properly mind. Think your best betbisnto take Petes advise. He's an utter Jedi when it comes to this sort of thing and you don't want to be paying ...

You can check its electrical resistance, and that it is getting voltage - Haynes gives the value and procedure. Also, if you have not done it, you should check the fuel system for correct pressures and flow. had the voltage checked today an there is an issue with it dropping off after starting ...

the vr is just a cheaper option really , u can get a whole mk 3 golf vr6 ,with everything u need for less than jus a decent 20vt mostly not even a turbo attached.

has anyone fitted a vr6 into a mk2 and whats the issues with this as im currently bidding on a 2.8 although would prefer the 2.9 .

i had a ashley 4 into 1 fitted for 5 years, the car was thrashed from time to time and kept outside. when i took it off to sell it was still in very usable condition...and as its made of mild steel it can easily be welded up should anything go wrong...i would strongly recomend this exhaust to you i ...

Raceland manifold 8v any good?
If got a new Jetex 2" system for my 8v SCALA
, would like to get a new manifold, pref 4-2-1 , so many mixed reports but i think ashley ones are to b avoided but the raceland ones have had some bad reports too..........
