Re: Cylinder Head / Vacuum

If the 7mm idle at the back of inlet is fully in then the engine is getting air in from a leak somewhere else. When you've clamped that pipe it shows that the source of the leak is narrowed down to that area or inline to it. Best to get easy start and spray it about and find out when it picks up a ...

Re: Barn find mk1 on evilbay

Owner obviously shrill bidded it up and probably won it himself with his greed. No one buds early these days. If someone genuinely won it then they've over paid for car parts

Re: mk2 in breakers in Kelveden Essex

Is it the sort of breakers you can walk around?

Can you remember if it still had front wipers?

Do you know of any more breakers local that are friendly to browse around?

Cheers

Re: locating a water leak with smoke machine - anyone tried it?

strip out the interior, and douse the inside with talc. then give the outside a wash.. it'll be the clearest way, take half a day whilst being quickest in the long term and you might make 30 penc from lost coinage..

Re: Rotten storm

I wouldn't feel bad about breaking the brown one, especially if it can help the other get back on the road plus could help the finances selling not needed parts on here.. I could be interested in a fawn leather interior if it's in good condition.. ;)

Re: online vw parts catalogue

Thanks for the link, I've just had a good browse. The PAS parts are in the 'brakes, wheels' section.

Edit: cancel my last, I was looking in the wrong year in Europe at PAS and not the South Africa section.
