Re: Just bought a pair of twin dellorto carbs!

Yeh that's kind of what I was thinking, don't want to overfuel as well if I get a new pump :/

Just bought a pair of twin dellorto carbs!

They're Dellorto twin 40's, they're going on a mk2 gts, so it's a 1.8 carb. Need a little advice though. Is the stock fuel pump gonna be suficent enough or am I gonna need a juicier one, and am I likely to need a fuel regulator?

Many thanks

Problem fitting weber carb

I'm having a couple of issues fitting a weber dmtr carb to my scirocco, the main one being with the fuel lines. On the carb theres a fuel line in but also a fuel line out, i'm not sure what to do with the fuel line out? On the original pieberg there's only a fuel line going into the carb, but not ...

body kit clearance

I've lowered my scirocco on the back a fair bit now, I wouldn't mind slapping some spacers on the back to widen the track though. The tyres would scrub like hell on the body kit though. Has anyone on here got any pics of trimmed body kits, i'm just trying to work out the tidiest way of doing it ...

rs turbo recaros into a scirocco

The seats in my scirocco are shot, to be fair I reckon they're a bit crap when they're at they're best anyway  I do love the recaros all the quick fords of the 80's and 90's came with though. You can pick them up cheap too, unlike a 90's VW recaro! How tricky do you reckon it would be to get ...

front struts

Set to and fitted new springs to the rocco today. The rear went smoothly, new boge dampers all went together sweet. The front was a nightmare though, couldn't get the stut bolts undone, ended up ragging each bolt to get them off (they're £12 each off vw, just phoned them up haha). The spring cradles ...

Re: Temp' sender

Cool, and it's an 84 1800cc on a carb. The layout of some of the cooling bits is a little different to later carbed engines in this. Just need to work out what might have happened to the wire now haha :/

Temp' sender

The temperature gauge doesn't work on my scirocco. I can't work out which sensor reads for the dash though although there is a sensor without any wire going to it though so I figured it's probably that haha. See pic below:

Anyone any ideas? ta

Re: Introduce yourself

Hia. Been lurking on here for a while now, only just got around to joining though. Have a 84 gts:

Should be gaining a set of adjustable coilovers and a set of clean BBS RA's over winter, possibly black powder coated ones, with carbon effect centre caps
