Oil temp gauge

Post by hudjazz »

Would like to buy a oil temp gauge to fit in that hole next to the ashtray.
In the engine bay the there's a wire comes off the oil filter bracket. Is that where I'd have to attach the gauge to? And any ideas where I can get an original one from?
Thanks.

The wire you're referring to is probably one of the oil pressure switches. If you look nearby you will most likely see a spare hole with a blanking plug in it. This is where you will have to fit an oil temp sender - a wire from this will then go the gauge (on VDO gauges it will be the G terminal). From the back of the fusebox you will need to find an ignition switched power supply and an earth. Simples.
