108 is pretty good!! My gt2 just had a weber on it and was well kept. It went very well!
The cam from a later golf gti is good for them, pb engine. Probably the same as a dx one.

The DX cam is awesome - makes the engine so much more revvy! Thoroughly recommend!eamon1.3 wrote:The cam from a later golf gti is good for them, pb engine. Probably the same as a dx one.

GTII Track Project... now a different animal for 2009
Re: engine mods---gt2
I was thinking about converting the engine in my GTII to megasquirt. It's got to be better than either carbs or the k-jet, with the other nice addition of programmable ignition. Does anyone know what sort of power it could yield with no new cam etc.?
Re: engine mods---gt2
Running on throttle bodies?? That would be
Mate had a gt2 that ran bike TBs on megasquirt. I never seen it because i was on oz but he said it sounded fantastic but my gt2 would have give it a good run

Re: engine mods---gt2
Dunno yet, only sort of playing with it in my mind. I had it for sale a while ago, but decided to hold onto it for now instead for a while, maybe dynamat it, sort out all the wee issues and because I'm for megajolting my Capri anyway, might as well go the whole hog and megasquirt the scirroco after that (don't want to lose the rip off the carbs on the Capri
).
