Removing moss from seals
My window and sunroof seals have a persistent moss growing on them that comes back after a few months every time I scrub it off. Anyone know of a decent product that will remove it and stop it coming back?

Re: Removing moss from seals
I think I would go for a soft toothbrush and a non wax car shampoo then use that Auto Glym rubber and vinyl care, great stuff for rubber.
I've often thought that a mild bleach solution or even Milton might be a way of sterilising the moss growth but I am not in favour of household products because they tend to have a high salt content or are simply too aggressive. Someone else might confirm a trick or two.

normally a toothbrush gets it off fine. don't have a problem with it coming back so long as the car is washed regular

Thanks for the advice. Will try vinegar applied with a toothbrush! I've always had problems with moss coming back after being cleaned off in three and a half years of owning the car. Makes it look so tatty...

potentially has salt added as a bulking agent (like washing up liquid) so would promote rot. check the label, and so long as there's nothing in it that would harm steel, should be finesick nick wrote:diluted weed killer??
