Re: Marangoni tyres
I had 195/50-15H Marangoni Zeta Linea:s in my rocco for one summer. They were Ok considering that they are cheap tyres.
- Good traction wet and dry
- ok to drive
- Not too noisy
- wear was not so good

Re: Marangoni tyres
They had a stand at the Autosport show back in January and they seemed to be making a big thing about the fact they'd put some colouring into the rubber to make the tyres reddish brown and with a pattern to appeal to the "tuner" market. Figured that told me everything I needed to know and to avoid!

Where they on an Alfa? A Brera or Guiletta I think? They had quite an attractive young lady decorating the stand as well if I'm thinking of the same stand.

Range Rover Evoke I think it was, I don't remember any ladies on that stand, attractive or otherwise, actually, I don't remember anyone on the stand at the time I walked past.

Re: Marangoni tyres
to be fair, i think driving head on into another car probably had very little to do with his tyre choice

Re: Marangoni tyres
I used to be the manager of a Marangoni tyre centre and have to say that they grip very well in the wet and reasonable in the dry but wear very quickly. I found that the lifetime warranty for punctures was a bit of a gimmick really as the customer had to pay for the portion of tread that they had used if the tyre was a write off. Kumho's give much better wear and feedback and easily 10-20% cheaper than Toyo

They were on my Lotus Elise when I bought it. Probably the worst tyres I've ever driven on. Apart from some truly awful Tigars that were on an old Scala I had...

Re: Marangoni tyres
You've never tried age hardened Roadstone Dark Horses or Star Performers then? My old 309 GTI came on them and I kept it on the road for 3 days before unintended lift off oversteer chucked me into a hedge at 40 mph. I lost count on how many track days I did on them though!Brunty wrote:They were on my Lotus Elise when I bought it. Probably the worst tyres I've ever driven on. my nomination for worst tyre ever is gonna be the india gt, closely followed by the debica furio which had really fast wear with no grip at all
