WeirdClutch

Post by rusty2 »

Ok had Jeff 5 weeks now, never noticed this problem before as have been gentle untill all bits were checked and serviced. So out for a little spin we went.
Have really tried to spin the tyres to check the tractions to no avail. The clutch was supposed to have been changed 3 moths ago ? also when in gear give it a bit of welly slips like mad, back off a bit and away we go. so any ideas am a bit stumped with out taking the lot apart :help: :help:

What's the clutch cable adjustment like? If that's ok then it sounds like the crankshaft oil seal is weeping and its getting onto the flywheel and friction plate.
Mine did it when I first bought it, some days it would slip badly, other days would be fine.
