Been busy doing all sorts also ive been told that while im waiting for dad to finish welding his zodiac it would be a good idea to start mocking up door, wing, bonnet and tailgate gaps and take loads of pics when done with messurements...Gotta say i felt like i hadnt really done much that afternoon but a sheet of numbers and a minus amount of washers job done..

Next time i went to my man space i decided to have a play...Up in the air it went slipped in the valver and wound down the coilovers its sitting on.
Dropped her back on the deck and rolled it out to see the wheels hugging the arches and a sump sitting about 4-5 inchs from the deck.Wicked.
Pushing her back in the hole i got a bug to fit the front lower spoiler then the bumper. Luv it...
Really really itching for the welding to start. Ooh also won on ebay a inner side sill..Happy..

Brought this little baby. Full service history up to 120k. Ive gone and thrown a further 3 k on it by using it for work.
Pulls like a trousers train right round to 7,200.

Seems almost to good to break but it's list of usefull bits is getting bigger !

Cool thread, good to see another mk1 valver in the making! And bmw white - great stuff :good: Thinking along the same lines for my own, I'd like to recreate the SL...

Not a great deal to report. Some welding been going on been about it.
The biggest problem about building a car to non oe spec is seeing ideas that others have done.
So a full set of Mk1 golf wheel arch's are going to be welded in. Along with a mk3 golf rear beam with a little upgrade.
Engine wise.
The mk3 golf i brought is being stripped, and engine will be dropped in soon to see how much the engine mounts have to be lowered by ! tech stuff eh !
Anyhows blinking good to catch up with bluestorm (darren) gave me a couple of ideas...

Will add up some pics when i have a hour to spare !
Work & family life swollows your time !!!
