mate, thats the Bilt Hamber stuff....(goes to check :read: ).... called Electrox http://www.bilthamber.com/electrox.html Its just painted on in that picture but dries to a matt finish.

You have to get all the crap and underseal off first as it won't dry properly unless it goes onto bare metal. Once it is dry it will happily receive a coat of shutz. I got the underseal off with a heat gun and chisel, then moved onto wire cup on the grinder. Tedious but worth it.

Also using the Bilt Hamber rust killing and rust proofing, happy with their kit so far, have had no issues.

Looks like you're taking on a big job there, fella. Nothing like a bit of welding to keep you warm on a cold night ;)

Reminds me of an Alfasud I welded a long time ago...

Bilt Hamber Deox C is pretty good stuff, or you could try electrolysis, for parts you can fit in a bucket, or even an old fibreglass bath if you have one handy.

I got repair pannels to fix the doors from the good old bay. ebay.de. Link to my fix http://sciroccoregisterforum.co.uk/carf ... f=15&t=843
.I must update this as she is running now. drive her most days and being to a few shows here in Ireland and she gets a fair bit of attention, they are only a few over here (running), I got an 02A gear box in her now and the engine running well finally. It took a bit of messing about. Its pretty quick
