how on earth do u get the accelerator cable through the housing / hole in the car body ?
do i have to cut the bush ?
i just cant seem to be able to push it through..

try harder lol....it will but requires some effort.

best to pull from engine side...its a tight fit....persistance pays...

tried that and a bit of the sheath stuff around the cable came away.. :training:

Put some lubricant around where the grommet and cable meet then insert something like a thin screwdriver between the cable and grommet and roll it around the cable to break the seal and take some lubricant into the join.

Then push the grommet from the inside of the car out along the cable, long flat screwdriver is good for this.

Shouldn't do but I can't guarantee.

If it's the original grommet you might want to replace it anyway.

Mines a carb car so one end it caught in a nipple by the carb. I took the gromet out of the bulkhead I think, put it over the cable and then got the gromet back in. Failing that would you be able to open the gromet up with some pinch nose pliers?

cant believe they dont supply the grommet with the cable ! :dunno: :dunno:
