[quote="bluestreak56"]Welcome and good on you for taking on this project!
To be honest it doesn't look that big a job.
It only needs 3 small 1" bits welding on the inner arches, the floor and cills are fine.
The mot only run out last October and there were no advisories for the last 4 mot's.
It's last service was at 117,000 and it is now on 120,000.
Cambelt was changed at 102.000.
The main parts I need to do so I can take it for an mot are:Brakes, windscreen, fan and cowling, rear tailgate struts.
It starts first time and runs nice and all the electrics work.
Finally it will need a re-spray.
Ordered the break parts from GSF and will pick them up on Tuesday,a mate is bringing his welder over shortly so will get that done asap.
The rear seats and passenger seat are in very good condition but the drivers seat is damaged.
Does anyone know where I can get it refurbished? Rob.
Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.

Re: I'm new
The seat material is impossible to get hold of new. It looks as if it is just the drivers side bolster that is knacked, so what you could do is look in scrappys/Ebay etc etc for a Golf GTi interior and get some of the black material from that, it can be any of the seats, you could get an upholsterer to cut what they need and use it to replace the whole section. Another trick you could use is the remove all the covers and turn them inside out as the pattern is the same on the inside, seen it done before on a Golf GTi.
New boot struts can be bought from a company called SGS, I got some for my Scala, have a Google for them, based in Derby but do mail order.
