vented brake disc's
hey guys, my 86 rocco gt is goin in for some new brakes tomorrow, are the hubs the same as a golf gti so i can ask for vented disc's, excuse my stupidity if its an obvious peice of info

assuming you've got sold discs on there at the moment, you'd need to change the caliper to move to vented discs. the discs is roughly twice as thick (25ish mm as opposed to 12mm) so there wouldn't be space within the caliper for the extra width of discs

You can fit vented discs to a solid disc equipped GT, you just need to fit the pads meant for vented discs at the same time
ie the calipers are the same, the pads are thinner to allow for the thicker disc.
(I did the same on my old GT)

cheers guys, they put vented disc's on it, they said it already had em on, im like "iunno", i aint touchin them
