Mintex pads?

Post by christhemann »

Hi,

Need to change front pads on the 1.8 Scala carb. Anybody had good experience with Mintex ones?
Specifically these on ebay:

Are they any good? (the seller and the pads!)

Cheers,
Chris

Mintex extreme are shocking, don't get them. They will fade away to nothing after two minutes of quick driving if you have 239mm discs. However Mintex M1144s are excellent and pretty fade resdistant I've found. I'm on EBC yellow stuff at the moment, seem good but not really worn them in yet.

Mintex stopped making the Xtreme range a couple of years ago, so no worries there. I only really use M1144 myself.

Aaaah, Mintex... Never been the same since they dropped the M171's to go all new-fangled asbestos-free with these 'ere M1144's.
