Re: fuel lines
I wondered the same thing... and went for it anyway. I unscrewed the filler cap before just incase there was pressure but I now believe there isn't, I got a few dribbles but nothing a piece of kitchen towel couldn't handle. One pipe is only the return anyway so there probably wont be anything anyway. Just hold the hose up when you take it off. Should be fine.

Re: fuel lines
if it's an injection there may be some slight pressure in the outlet from the tank as there is a pump in it. just make sure you've got some rag to soak it up and it should be fine.
obviously, no smoking etc, and whip the battery off first

Re: fuel lines
another good call. me and a colleague did a fuel drain on a vx corsa (new shape) after if had been filled with the wrong fuel. after messing about for ages trying to get the top of the tank closed again (the rocco is way easier and has better access) we just couldn't get the ting to run right. after 4 hours, we gave up. chucked it into the workshop the next morning and they sorted it - we had the 2 pipes on the top of the tank the wrong way rounddavevh wrote:And mark one hose and connector before you take it off.
