Glove box key for 1989 scala

Hi

Does anyone have a lock and key for a 1989 scala?

If not does anyone know if it is possible to get a blank ‘VW’ key and then get it cut to my existing lock?

Get yourself a new lock with two keys and adjust the rest to it except for the fuel lid, you can not take that apart.

Hi

I’ve bought a set of 2 keys and a new barrel but it seems as though the pinch lock is a sealed unit.

Does anyone know a way of removing the lock barrel from the glove box?

The lock barrel is held in place by two plastic tabs on either side of the barrel,
warm them up a bit (to avoid breaking) and carefully bend them aside a bit and the barrel will come out.
