out of interest because the transfer of heat from the manifold would it be possible to get these made from some kind of thermoplastic?
or even get some 3d printed?

Or how about a sort of rubber ?? Oh that's back to square one.......
Joking aside, great idea for a common problem made worse by a webber carb bolted on to it.
Would be good to see how costing etc would be and maybe a few made as I may need one in the future.
I'm pretty sure there's a Bakelite spacer that you can buy to help stop heat transfer.
The webers are also fitted to land rovers and they don't have the rubber carb flange so had a baker lite spacer to prevent heat transfer. If I remember correctly that is!
after another failed rubber carb flange incident ive started making another alloy flange replacement part for a friend.
we really need someone to cnc some of these. maybe trimsport would like to have a go?
Look at website lasermaster. They could laser cut the basic shape and you drill the holes. I bought 4no. 145dia discs in 5mm thick and it was £30 Inc delivery. Cheap as chips.
