Hi all,
I'm getting a rear plate made up for show use, it will just say Scirocco on a standard front plate format but pressed into an aluminium plate.
My question is if anyone knows any German and the use of the special letters, I'm thinking I get
Sciröccö
But am unsure...
Any help would be great!

Re: Rear plate - German...
Scirocco doesn't have an umlaut (ö) in German on either 'o.' The function of the umlaut is to change the pronunciation of the vowel - in this case to something like "shiroehkoeh" - probably making you sound like you come from Barnsley.
But you can do it if you want. It's your car.

Don't want anyone thinking I'm from Barnsley!
Going to go for plain letters :)

As I am German speaker I wouldn't use the Umlaut unless we are changing the pronunciation of Scirocco ;). As you are probably aware, they say it the same apart from 'r' which is pronounced from the back of the throat ;)
