This will be used as my daily whilst I take my 1.8 20vt Corrado off the road to do the bodywork and upgrade some bits and bobs that I didn't have time or the money for during my conversion.
Anyway, about the rocco! A good friend of mine bought this a few years ago. It had a small dent in the rear quarter panel and both wings were dented. Apart from that the car was in pretty good condition, 94k on the clock and completely standard!
He lowered it, put some G60 steels on, a Polo 6n2 GTi steering wheel and a cherry bomb on the exhaust. He also replaced both front wings!
Unfortnately he started to have some carb / fuel related issues with it and wanted a more reliable car for work, therefore he took it off the road and it had been sat on his drive for about a year and a half.
Having completed the conversion into my Corrado in the summer for edition 38 (I had a bet on with a mate who does bodywork) and having started a new job in September, I thought it was time to look for a daily whilst I take the Corrado back off the road next month to have the bodywork etc done.
I got speaking to my mate who said I could have the Scirocco for an absolute steal of a price! So I instantly said yes and went down to look at it.
Apart from the steering wheel being covered in mould and the paint faded, it was okay. So I put a new battery on it, checked the oil and with a bit of easy start, she fired up!

Surprisingly the brakes weren't seized and the tyres werent too bad! I drove it off the drive and got it recovered up-to my unit. After a power-washing the grime off of her she looked like this:

I got the car up on the ramps and it's solid underneath! Only thing that needs doing for a MOT is a track rod end and brake overhaul! I also need to replace the fuel filler neck as it's leaking.... I've been reading up on it and seems either a mk1 golf one with some modification should fit or a bmw e36 one with some mods. I'm gonna remove it this weekend and take a look. However this could have caused the said fueling problems a few years back!
I'm trying not to spend too much money or get too involved with this as my main project is the Corrado, but I can see myself getting carried away lol.
There's a few rust scabs on the roof gutters and the odd dent here and there but overall it's in pretty good condition!
For those interested, here's the Corrado:

Will update this month once I start some work on it
