So neva got to take it to brothers work bit did mess wiv dizzy timing agen after I broke down this morning. Took plugs out and plug 1 was soaked so found that now the car is missing wen sitting still but wen driveing it clears and is actually quite fast now... Wen keeping power on every now and then breaks down belive it's maybe Crap in the fuel filter or carb need to try abd clean carb out what's the best way to do this ?

Spray carb cleaner everywhere you can while a friend gently revs, helped sort out my Pierburg :)

Really feel like giving up on this now broker down twice this morning wiv no hope of running agen untill left for 10mins lost now could this be coil break down.... Only breaks wen it's been under acceleration

Check the rubber mount the carb sits on, they split and let air in, get the car running and wobble the carb to see if the idle changes.

if you pulled a plug and it was wet with fuel it must mean there was no spark to ignite it so i would say ignition side for sure

if you say the plugs dizzy and rotor are fine it is either the coil the ignition amplifier or damaged cabling somewhere in that combo

but just to double check swap out the plug and lead on the cylinder with the miss to the next cylinder and see if the problem goes across too (you should have enough length on the ht leads) itll let you know for sure the problem isnt ht or plugs

Cheers mate I'm just bout to go mess wiv it so will av a look and try that I have a new coil to so can try fitting that
