Every time i do a section i think should i skip this or that, its really hard at times, even bits you cant even see, but i just cant live with knowing something is dirty... This thing might never see the road again !! haha :diablo:

Things should look mighty interesting come Thursday will have everything back from the powder coaters..

In the mean time i got some Original bits from this place http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/vwaudibits/&_ ... 1423.l2754 they are very local to me and always sort me out...

So Driveshaft was off for complete overhaul and powder coat, it seems there was a clip missing on the inner joint so the grease had just started to mush up... The passenger side shaft is stuck on though splined bolts ROUNDED off... Will look at that when i refurb the gearbox sometime...

Top job....The only thing you have forgotten is that when its finished, you will want to do anther one !!!!!..Judging by what you've done, that isn't going to be a bad thing !.

If it is not broken, Do not fix it !!!

Can anyone confirm if the Inner Boot CV requires a clip on the outside to keep out muck, both inner CVs are in original state and are without. The Haynes manual image doesn't show one. But all renew kits from dealers show a new clip...

For those on Instagram have a look: jamesrothwell777

Again if anyone can confirm the comment about the inner cv's that would be great
