Re: Mk1 Rocco/Golf Press Photo
HVV 503T is a Storm I believe. I have driven it!
I almost purchased it in the early 90s form a chap called Lance who lived in Yeovil.
I didn't buy it as it didn't drive as nicely as the MK 1 GLS I owned at the time.
I believe the car still exists in that area of Somerset.

Re: Anyone fancy a 5k miles Storm?
I would really like that car but two things put me off - 1 the price 2 The owner. If his grammar and spelling are any thing to go by he's not going to be very articulate and therefore not an easy person to deal with. I find it hard to believe he's the original owner of the car, the youngest he could ...

I recognise those wheels!
I hope you're not going to wear the tyres down too much.

Re: What got you into MK2's then???
It was the late 80's I went in to Tim Stiles Racing (I was working in Bridgwater at the time) and asked him if he could make my Chrysler Sunbeam go faster, he said 'Yes, but it'd be cheaper if you buy that Scirocco over there.' So I did. The rest is a long story you can read in the project thread ...

Re: Back on the road
Looking gorgeous, nice to see such an original example. I'm especially pleased to see that you've gone to the trouble of replacing the rubbing strip as I think the MK1 looks incomplete without it. I'm sooooo jealous! PS don't keep the source to yourself! I know mark1gls is looking for the same trim ...

Re: Storm mk2 Project BILL
Spoke to Martin from http://www.carmagic.co.uk/ today. I'm very impressed with Martin's enthusiasm for restoration projects as most car body/paint shops near me only seem to be interested in 'stock 'em high sell 'em cheap' insurance work. He's having a look at a few photographs so he can provide an ...
