Anyone fancy a 5k miles Storm?
It'll cost you, though - apparently the seller has owned it from new and covered around 5000 miles in it - but £12,000 seems a bit steep to me

I'll take two... actually... if it was half that, I'd probably buy it.

Re: Anyone fancy a 5k miles Storm?
good grief, he didn't even spell Scirocco properly.
That has got to be one of the worst adverts I have ever seen! If the car really is worth 12k (which it isn't) he's not going to get it with that!
And what's the deal with the random photos? A pic of the roof guttering, the inside of the passenger door and one corner of the engine bay?
Looks like the sort of car I'd fall over myself to have but let's be honest, you could virtually buy a mk3 for that before long

Just love the advert that google decided to put at the bottom - "New Scirocco £18860"

Look at what comes up on the list below it - two mint fully original Karmann Ghias. You could buy both of them for half of what he wants for the Storm. I know what I'd do if I had 12 grand to spare. One Karmann Ghia, one Mk1 Sciroc, Import a proper 16v Mk2 and do mine up so it's mint. Reckon I'd still have change for petrol! I reckon that's my dream fleet.

Looks shonky to me.
Advert's been pulled, the spelling is utterly bonk and the guy clearly has no idea what he's on about

Well, it's up on Pistonheads now:
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1959756.htm
His poor literacy does make you wonder, as do the other cars (Beetles) lying around under tarpaulins. I've asked for the extra CD of pictures, but not had a reply yet.
I think "UNMBARED" is meant to read "unmarked."

if his understanding of date-setting on his camera is anything near the standard of his photography or literacy skills, we needn't worryFunky Diver wrote:Intriguingly his photo's are marked as being a year old...

Re: Anyone fancy a 5k miles Storm?
I just worked out that, in today's money a brand new Storm would cost £24,000. So he reckons it's kept half its value. That's pretty good going, is it not?
EDIT: I got so annoyed by that ad I re-wrote it for him and emailed him the results.....
I'm an odd one. Poor English makes me die a little inside.
