Back on the road

Got the MOT on the MK1 on Friday, "only after a blown hose incident" :dash: so it was taxed, cleaned, and out for a good run,

and finally got to put some trim on the side,

Looking gorgeous, nice to see such an original example. I'm especially pleased to see that you've gone to the trouble of replacing the rubbing strip as I think the MK1 looks incomplete without it. I'm sooooo jealous!

PS don't keep the source to yourself! I know mark1gls is looking for the same trim for his.

It's nice to be nice.

Looks great Bill, I checked your car out at Cosford back in 08...

So after the rust repairs the whole car was repainted ??

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor

Thats really nice.

What have you used on the bumpers? They look very "black" compared to mine :)

Thanks for the good comments fellas,
Black trim wax, on the bumpers, put some on leave for 5 mins then rub up,
car was resprayed,

was going to fit this type of wheel, but things never go as planned

but still got the lowering springs and Konis to go on, ( Alex you ok for some help fella),
As for the trim, spent the last two days tiger sealing the ends back down as they had lifted 1", :dash: so can't recomend the supplier.
