hi viewing a car today needing quick advice
hi going to view a gti today and its not a vw lol needing advice, the boy is claiming its cammed and im going to take rocker off to cheak what am i looking for and where roughly. also most importantly can you run high lift cams without a vernier pulley ? cheers

I've hot a spare mr lump sat here if you go down that route. One thing I'll say about using high lift cams is that they are lumpy as f**k. They sound great but the idle can be irattic and juddery. I'm calming mine down as I'm bored of it constantly sounding like it'll cut out, the real power only ...

if you are using the kr or abf then there are no injector holes to block up as the injectors sit in the inlet manifold not in the head like the 8 valves that would be great but are you sure? abf from a mk3 golf gti im sure ive replaced a head but i cannot remember if it was set up like that or not ...

as for your head/block combo the 2lt abf bottom end with 1.8 kr head is a popular combo, if you decide to use the 2ltr bottom end make sure you use the 2ltr distributor, for info on wiring looms and wiring conversion look up a chap called (rub jonny) on most VW forums clubgti etc, any thing he does ...

bearing in mine i want to use a webber carb and cba with blanking any injector holes, I think that's the tricky bit. I'm not aware of ANY (standard) carbed 16V VW engines. .. and if you were to graft a weber (assuming you're thinking DMTL like you'd put on an 8V) on the end of a standard 16V ...

hi im thinking of upgrading, to kr, 9a or preferably abf im needing help and info i want to use the 16 v head but am unsure of blocking the injector holes how easy is it?. i also want to run it on carbs 40z or 45z or just the 32/34. how do i wire it up do i just use the scirocco sensors in the 16v ...

Just to let everyone know this garage was the end of my beloved rocco. They couldnt even set up my tracking snapped my bonnet cable and didn't replace I also found Chizzel marks on my rear arch. Their was bolts missing, my gear linkage was wrong and the rubber underneath was just folded to the side ...
