Re: MK2 Scirocco Bonnet Sound "Waffle" Pads?

It was a guy called Shaun Henderson. Seemed really helpful, replied within 10 mins of each email, 4 in total. I made the templates this evening, will send them out tomorrow and see what happens I suppose!

Re: MK2 Scirocco Bonnet Sound "Waffle" Pads?

I have spoken to Newton Commercials today, and I am sending them a template to work off, this is for their 'Hardura' felt pads to go bwteeen the internal structure like the original foam pads. Will keep you posted.

Re: HERMAN THE GERMAN! '91 Scala 20vt

Andi,

VVT is only really for emissions and warm up cycle..

I'd try and find an AGU head, which is better anyway. And stick with your K03 turbo, look and ECU combo..

Believe me when I say the K03 is more than enough power for the road.. Don't chase the figures!

Re: Window scraper seals

I must agree. It took a lot to decide to buy them.. I just got sick and tired of looking at the old ruined one.. Just had nightmares of them stopping selling them in the future then we would be stuck!

Re: 20VT conversion

Dont tell anyone I said this but, I've always been a fan of a decent 2.0L 8v with a cam! Great B-road car. Especially with a low ratio box. Cost wise, mounts, intercooler, wiring, all the bits that make sense to replace during a conversion, the 20vt route does add up.. I did mine bit by bit when I ...

Respray and Trim Questions

Hi all, With a respray looming for my car next year, I have a few questions hopefully you can help with. 1). Having removed the side trims in readyness as carefully as I could not to distort them... How easily are these re-fitted straight without looking wobbly etc!? - Whats best to use to re-fit ...

Re: Window scraper seals

Fit is excellent, nice and snug up against the windows, and good firm fit to the door. they are felt lined too so wont stop the window. They come about 2" too long obviously, so trimming is required. - Which is tricky as they have a metal insert, so you cant cut it around the quarter window section ...

Re: 20VT conversion

My AGU powered GTX with generic map (200bhp ish) is more than enough in a Rocco. - I have a LSD though which is SO important on a conversion like this. it puts the power down very well. - I recently went out in a mates 20vt mk3 with an AGU, but no LSD in his gearbox and the level of grip was ...
