Re: 1.6 Stopping when driving.

Read through the power loss posts and I think restricting the return should do the trick
Will post how I get on

Pirelli P-slot centre cap

Hi
Quick question

I have lost a pirelli p slot centre cap and it is proving quite hard to get a replacement
Is there any other vw cap that will fit and also will the black plastic centres used on other vw alloys
fit the centre of the pirelli for everyday use?

Cheers

Re: warm-up time and rpm / temp

How is the thermostat in the car.
Might be stuck open which would cause the car to take a long time to warm up properly.
Might be worth a look.
The weber carb makes a big difference. But if your doing it you migt need a new flange for where the carb sits onto the manifold

Fuel Lines

When Working on my 86 Gt I found that the fuel lines were corroded badly up by the front subframe. What I used to replace these was 5/16 copper pipe I got off a car restorer. Made the job of replaceing the supply and return pipes a doddle. Was able to fashion it to fit into the holders all along the ...
