Re: Trying to hunt down old car C810LGC
Oh god wow, I remember changing the steering rack for a second hand one in April 2011, must have sold it soon after that. Looks like its covered a lot of miles too!
Nice to see someone has looked after it and kept it on the road

White gunk on oil filler cap??
Right, for a while now every time I check my oil there's a white thick goo over the top of the oil filler cap.
At first I thought it was the head gasket but after carrying out a compression test, everything fine.
Its had about 4 oil changes since I've had it so its not as if the oil is old or ...

Re: Fuel Additives.... worth it or not?
Yeah, I would have thought GSF would be expensive because of their "specialised" products, even though they didn't have the correct clutch cable for my scirocco, which was a bit of a bugger!

Fuel Additives.... worth it or not?
After looking around halfords for some spark plugs, oil etc, I came across a fuel additive for £15 which cleaned the valves, fuel injectors and lots more! (apparently)
Do fuel additives actually clean anything?? I wanted to get my injectors cleaned but will a £15 bottle of magic juice do a similar ...

The clutch shouldn't be stiff mate if it is adjusted correctly, take a look in a Haynes manual.
A new clutch cable will cost about £15, before you install pour some thin oil down it.
Was this the GTX from Essex.
It was from near Essex yes

Clutch Cable to Pedal Problem
Sup guys
After collecting my First Scirocco today, the cable snapped on the way home! :ire:
On further inspection, it wasn't the actual cable that snapped, but the plastic "hook" that hooks onto the clutch pedal itself.
The clutch cable was only replaced a few hundred miles ago along with a new ...
