Scuttle Cover
Hi all,
The black plastic scuttle cover that covers the wiper motor and heater etc on my rocco is missing. Has anyone made a replacement, if so what did you use?

They're 15's, from a Rover GTI I think, £25 with tires from Ebay. Be rude not to at that price.

My basket case
Hi all, This is what I purchased unseen from ebay about a year and a half ago. It had stood for 5 years on someones drive and was a non runner. The paint was a lovely shade of pink with assorted rust patches and dents. The shocks, brakes and lines etc looked like they were dredged from the bottom of ...

Re: Boot popper
I've smoothed my boot and got the popper wired to the wiper stalk. It unlatches enough to open the boot and thats with a spoiler. Deffinately check your wiring though because I managed to melt mine when welding up the boot lock hole, DUH!

I always use Plastikote paint. Really hard wearing, doesnt chip etc. Goes on nice and really glossy so no need to put on a top coat.

Re: Weak spark probs
I've set the plug gaps to haynes spec but not replaced them, will try and get to halfrauds tommorrow. As for the coil, got two knocking about from other projects and both in good nick, tested with a multimeter etc. The spark from the coil isnt too bad but its not the hefty blue spark I'd expect. As ...

Weak spark probs
Hi all, My little project GT is coming to an end but has developed an ignition problem. I have a reasonable spark from the coil lead but a really weak spark from the plugs. So far I have changed the dizzy, dizzy cap, leads, rotor arm, plg leads and have even tried a spare coil. Its driving me mad ...

Re: Mk2 Golf GTI Backbox
Its not that difficult TBH. I've got a mk2 gti exhaust from the downpipe back and it only really needed a short extension and a reducer adding between the centre box and downpipe and a hanger welding on the backbox. Fits good, no leaks or rubbing etc.
