Re: No fuel from injectors when ignition on?
Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
When we lifted the flap manually, petrol sprayed out fine, we then put everything back together, apart from loose injector.
You turn ignition on or spin engine over, nothing will come out of injector?
Thanks for your reply.

Hi, ive got a mk1 scirocco gti which is causing me some grief. I cant get it to start. Its really frustrating, there ...

Hi,
Anyone recommend any auto electrician who can sort the above problem out? It's above my skillset and I want it sorting for the spring ideally.
Cheers Mal.

Hi, I own a mk1 GLi 1980, and I got it MOTD yesterday. Was looking forward to driving it to work this morning but it wouldn't start. I couldn't hear the fuel pump so checked fuse box and sure enough one of the white blocks that plugs into the rear of fuse box has burnt out, see pics. I've been ...

Re: Garage find mk1 scirocco
Looks like an up and coming Lancs mini meet, I am based in Blackrod, Bolton.. Hi Mark, Just browsing site for first time in a while when noticed your location. Would that be Blackrod not far from Standish, Wigan? I've been a mk1 owner for around 10 years and haven't seen another one locally in ages ...

Re: Mk1 scirocco gti fusebox connector
Hi,
Thanks for the response, looks like it's a common problem. It's gonna take me a while to get my head round what's been suggested, I'll give it a go though.
Thanks again
Mal

Mk1 scirocco gti fusebox connector
Hi,
Anyone know where I can get a replacement connector for my mk1 scirocco, see pic, it's for my fuel relay I think. As car wouldn't start, did after fiddling around with the connector, it's clearly burnt out though.
Cheers
Mal

Re: Hot/warm starting problems mk1 Storm
It eventually starts when warm when applying throttle yeah, then splutters for a couple of seconds, then fine.
Think i'll go with your easy fault finder and unplug 5th injector and simply see if problem persists.
thanks again.
Mal.

Re: Hot/warm starting problems mk1 Storm
The fifth injector doesn't work even when cold, unfortunately. I wonder if you're right and it comes on when it's warm, that would explain things, although that's far to easy a fix !!! That would mean faulty TTS i presume?
