Re: Back Screen Window Wiper Not Working .

Mine has just pooped itself this morning m. Did a single wipe then stopped working, relay still ticking away and can activate the washer jet from the stalk so can’t imagine it’s the tailgate wiring/relay which are the other options I’ve seen suggested on pages. New motor time?

Re: Info On a 1.8T (Golf Mk4 GTI) swap

Hi, ive done a 1.8t swap.
Before you start work out how much budget you have and how much of the work you can do yourself. if your not mechanically or electrically competent the costs will go up.
Do you want anything more than 200bhp? if so pay the extra and buy a bam code 225bhp engine from a tt ...

Info On a 1.8T (Golf Mk4 GTI) swap

Hello Guys and Girls.

Unfortunately, the engine in my '91 Scala 1.8i has just seized (suspected bottom end) and it could be time for a new engine. the engine had just been re-built (not by me) and was in the stage of running in as it went. If the damage is fairly severe (It most probably will be ...

Re: One for the more experienced!

Okay so! it was the ignition switch that had gone. complete pain in backside to change since the steering column adapter had siezed on, so I had to cut that off before putting the new one on. but that has been fixed now!

Re: One for the more experienced!

Hi danny, is there anyway I can check this without just buying a new one? would I need to replace the entire unit (barrel etc) or just a part of it?

Re: One for the more experienced!

Update, not the rocker cover Earth nor the one near the steering column. I think go through all the wiring by the ignition coil and new stalks are next test

One for the more experienced!

Okay so, I'm having VERY odd electrical issue.

When the headlight switch is turned on (dipped beam/second click) only the side lights come on. full beam won't come on and stay on like it should by pulling the stalk, but full beams will flash.

The heater fan and Window wiper stalk won't work ...

Re: Headlight/wipers/fullbeam issues

I’ll check for fuses etc. The fans don’t work either so it could be a short/blown fuse

Headlight/wipers/fullbeam issues

Seems like I’m posting more on here that I should be 🤔😂

Picked the car up last night, it’s been sat at a friends shop for a little over 2 weeks. The dipped beam seems to only be side lights (or certainly very very dim) and the full beam won’t engage, ie. I can only pull the stalk to flash. No ...

suspension replacement/upgrades

Hiya

The shocks/springs in my car are old and rotten and need replacing, so have been looking at a good, cheaper replacement.
Bilstein B4's and Eibach lowering springs have been shouted at me so have been looking at them, however they could be over my very tight budget (about £250 all in) not that ...
