Headlight/wipers/fullbeam issues

Post by Luke_Scala2 »

Seems like I’m posting more on here that I should be 🤔😂

Picked the car up last night, it’s been sat at a friends shop for a little over 2 weeks. The dipped beam seems to only be side lights (or certainly very very dim) and the full beam won’t engage, ie. I can only pull the stalk to flash. No constant full beam.
The wiper stalk will also not work for anything, unless the lights are on, and when you pull for full beam, the wipers (or the front ones at least) will then work.

Am I looking for a grounding issue? Stalk issue? Or fuse? Or am I wrong entirely 😂

Could be your ignition switch as they don't work without the ignition on?

Check behind your fusebox for any corrosion or loose connections and below your steering rack and ensure nothing has come loose.

I’ll check for fuses etc. The fans don’t work either so it could be a short/blown fuse

Are you sorted? I had a very similar problem which was a bad earth in the engine bay...

Still not sorted, I put another thread (see "one for the more experienced) in the correct part of the register ahah! (electrical mk2 issues) and have been recommended multiple times that its the ignition switch. im going to try that and see what happens!
