Mk2 Scirocco Radiator Air Ducting

Does anyone have the cardboard radiator air ducting available for a 1988 Scirocco GTX please? I require both sides of radiator. Bolts/screws and plastic clips would be useful too if available. Image is of offside, but require both if available.

Even as a former VAG technician I too struggled to fit the clip until I had a rare moment of inspiration. I used a tool intended to fit ...

Re: Sump Compression Issues After Rebuild!

Before you rip it apart it might be worth checking to make sure the gauze in the cam cover breather is not blocked. A restriction here can cause oil to blow out of the breather. Also is the plastic black cover in place that sits between the cam cover and the camshaft?

Re: Hmm.... Issues with DX engine

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but there should also be a TDC mark on the crank pulley that lines up with a little arrow on the plastic case behind it. If the pulley has been fitted for a few years you may need to clean it in order to see it. If aiming to set timing at around 6 degrees ...

Re: brake pads - inner and outer

Longer pad on outside. Shorter pad towards the piston on brake calliper. The anti-rattle springs are fitted with the square corners to the outside.

Remove distributor cap and ensure there is no moisture there. Cap is held on by two spring clips.

Re: 92 gt2 auto choke / carb issues

If this fault only occurs following a cold start, check that the choke pull open-unit is working. This is a small black plastic dome shaped unit held to the carb body with a roll pin. It contains a diaphragm that often fails. A plastic linkage opens the choke flap a few millimetres following a cold ...
