Re: Plugs on the water coolant flange..

Nah mate. Sorry I didn't describe too well
I'm on a weber carb with manual choke.
If I have my foot on gently it's fine. But when I put my foot Down it coughs and splutters when I get to around 50-60

I have changed the ignition module before. Would a faulty ig amp cause my coil to roast?

Re: Coughing, spluttering and very annoying

It's a weber carb.
But I think that may be irrelevant. My friend who is an old school mechanic and he seems certain it's a breakdown in the coil and the distributor.
I have literally done/changed everything that has been mentioned above in the past few months.
The engine is pretty much the only ...

Re: Cutting out problem!

Ok so I put a T piece in so the fuel comes from the pump, splits into two and feeds carb and return. The return pipe is smaller so it won't be taking as much fuel as the carb. This has been fine for a few days. But I went on a longer drive tonight (around 20 miles or so) drove fine at first but now ...

Re: Cutting out problem!

You are misconstrued my friend. I have an inline filter but after the fuel pump there used to be a three way bowl on coming from pump, one to carb and one returning fuel to tank. That is what I have removed.
