Cheers nate
The whole thing came off. Just bought the mirror glue, nice cheap fix didn't think super glue would work,
The only thing i've ever successfully stuck with super glue are my fingers together

Rear view mirror
Went over a speed bump today and the rear view mirror just fell off the windscreen. Windscreen and mirror all look original so quite bizarre. Does anyone know what I can use to stick the mirror back on with. I don't want to start messing around with all types of glue that might damage the glass ...

It is an absolute b**ch of a job. Pure persistance and anger prevailed in the end.
I'm free tomorrow if you need a helping hand.

Re: Front Bumper dismantling - nightmare
Are you trying to seperate the plastic from the metal back plate? I did this once, it involved sore thumbs and a lot of swearing, it does prise off with a large sturdy flat head screw driver. Ideally you need two people, one to use the screw driver and one to hold the bit just unclipped by said ...

Re: VDO voltage guage instalment
I shall study the haynes manual and try to make sense of it, and Mr Funks guide, which i'm sure it'll make things a lot clearet and get cracking on with it in the morning.
I'm sure it can't be that difficult it only has the 2 wires to it.

Re: VDO voltage guage instalment
Just been looking through the haynes manual, it has diagrams for everything from cruise control to electric seats nothing seperate for a voltage gauge,
Would it be within the main diagram?

Re: Help - does this sound terminal?
No expert either, but had the exact same symptoms with a corrado once, and it was indeed the head gasket, so head off, skimmed, new gasket set and bolts and timing belt while i was at it and it was as good as new all it cost bout 100quid and a weekend of work
